Non Profit Directors Network Launch

Last night was a milestone for me launching my Non Profit Director network in Sydney. The idea is to meet on a regular basis with a view to sharing ideas, and learn from each other.

In my view the non profit and for purpose sector plays a vital role in the collective good across the globe. Those people who work and volunteer in the sector see first hand the challenges and benefits a purpose focused organisation can bring to society and the planet.

I know from experience how difficult it can be linking up with like minded people who are passionate about giving back to the community and have taken on a role as Non Profit Chair or Director.

This group is all about making the most of your role as Non Profit Chair or Director and creating a supportive network to help you lead for purpose. It's about learning new skills, gaining insights and learning from others in a safe environment then this is the group for you.

The purpose is to

• provide a view of board leadership that is consistent with skills required for effective directors

• encourage big picture thinking on issues or opportunities that may be relevant to the non profit sector e.g. technology, culture, emerging practice

• promote discussion and exploration of ideas

• promote professional networks that can explore and capitalise on synergies

I want you to think about this group as your sounding board to gain confidence in your role as director and share your experiences with others.
